National Floral Designer Competition 2017; Sydney Royal Flower & Garden Show

We’ve just received notice of the 2017 National Floral Designer Competition to be held at the Royal Easter Show in 2017. The deadline for the initial sketches is tight so take a look ASAP!

Good afternoon,

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Horticulture Committee is pleased to confirm that Gregor Lersch will be judging the National Floral Designer competition at the 2017 Sydney Royal Flower & Garden Show.

Attached please find details of the class and also a sketch of the structure you will be constructing your design on should you be successful in being invited to compete. You will be allocated one side of the structure which is painted grey (Taubmans, Jumping Jack, 36Db-1). Please feel free to encourage others that may be interested to submit a sketch also.

This competition is limited to 10 entries and it is now time to submit an A4 sketch of your design if you are interested in competing in this exciting competition.  We understand that on the day of the competition your design may vary slightly, but please submit a design as close to what will be created on the day.

All sketches are to be received by no later than COB on Tuesday 13 December 2016 and can either be emailed to erogers@rasnsw.com.au or posted to me at the address below.  They will be assessed by a selection panel the following week and you will be notified the first week in January as to whether you have been successful.

All competitors must be a financial member of their Floral Art Association at the time of the competition.

Interstate Exhibitors please consider the use of disposable props, as at 10.30pm on Tuesday 11 April 2017 these displays will be dismantled and disposed of.  If you have anything that needs to be kept, you must advise the RAS Horticulture coordinator via email by Friday 7 April 2017. Your email must provide a description of the prop and name of the designated person who will collect the items.  Please be advised that the RAS will not be responsible for any items left at the Showground at any time. Further, the RAS will not be liable for any loss or damage to any items left onsite.
